The terms governing all translation services provided by smart-translator.
These Terms govern all transactions between smart-translator LLC (EIN 83-6241057) and its clients. By placing an order, you accept these terms in full.
smart-translator provides professional translation, localization, and interpretation services delivered digitally. All services are delivered by email or secure download link. No physical documents are shipped in standard service.
All prices are quoted in USD and are fixed at order confirmation. Prices on the website are starting rates. Exact project pricing is confirmed before work begins and before any payment is taken.
Payment is required in full before work begins, processed via Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. We do not accept checks, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency for standard orders.
Delivery dates are confirmed at order. We notify you at least 12 hours in advance if we cannot meet a confirmed deadline. Late delivery due to our error entitles you to a discount per our Delivery Policy.
You have 7 days from delivery to report translation errors. We correct verifiable errors at no charge. Style preferences or changes to source documents after translation begins are treated as new work.
Full copyright in translated work passes to you upon receipt of complete payment. We retain the right to cite aggregate project statistics without identifying you or your content.
All client documents are confidential. Translators are bound by project-specific NDAs. We do not disclose client identity or content to third parties except as required by law.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid for the relevant project. We are not liable for consequential or indirect damages arising from translation errors not reported within the 7-day revision window.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nassau County, New York.
